Balsamic Strawberry Caprese (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Fresh Produce

01 - 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
02 - 1 cup fresh basil leaves

→ Dairy

03 - 225g fresh mozzarella balls (bocconcini or ciliegine)

→ Condiments

04 - 60ml balsamic glaze
05 - 15ml extra virgin olive oil
06 - Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
07 - 15ml honey (optional, for added sweetness)

# Instructions:

01 - Hull and slice the strawberries into thin rounds. Keep mozzarella balls whole or halve larger ones for consistent sizing.
02 - On a serving platter, alternately arrange the sliced strawberries and mozzarella balls in an attractive pattern. Tuck whole basil leaves between the layers for visual appeal and flavor distribution.
03 - Drizzle balsamic glaze generously over the arranged strawberries and mozzarella. If desired, add honey at this stage for additional sweetness.
04 - Lightly drizzle extra virgin olive oil over the composition to add richness and depth of flavor.
05 - Sprinkle with salt and freshly cracked black pepper to enhance and balance the flavors.
06 - Either serve immediately or chill for 20 minutes to allow flavors to integrate fully. Ideal as an appetizer, light lunch, or elegant side dish.

# Notes:

01 - For best visual presentation, use uniformly sliced strawberries and evenly sized mozzarella balls.
02 - If balsamic glaze is unavailable, reduce regular balsamic vinegar by simmering until syrupy.
