→ Buns and Finish

15 - 4-6 hamburger buns
16 - Fresh parsley or green onions, chopped, for garnish
17 - Provolone or pepper jack cheese slices, optional

# Instructions:

01 - Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 3–4 minutes.
02 - Add minced garlic, diced red bell pepper, and diced green bell pepper. Sauté for 3–5 minutes until peppers are softened.
03 - Add ground chicken to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until fully cooked and no longer pink, approximately 5–7 minutes.
04 - Stir in Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper. Cook for 1 minute, stirring to incorporate and release flavors.
05 - Pour in diced tomatoes with juice, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, and brown sugar. Combine thoroughly, then reduce heat and simmer for 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season with salt and black pepper.
06 - If preferred, place cheese slices atop the chicken mixture during the last 2 minutes of simmering to allow melting.
07 - Lightly toast hamburger buns in a dry skillet or oven until golden brown.
08 - Generously spoon the Cajun chicken mixture onto toasted buns. Garnish with fresh parsley or green onions before serving.

# Notes:

01 - Adjust cayenne pepper to control the level of spiciness.
02 - For a lighter option, use whole wheat or gluten-free buns.
