In a large bowl, whisk together olive oil, lime juice, garlic, brown sugar, chili powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper until well combined. Add shrimp and toss until coated. Marinate for 10-15 minutes, but no longer than 30 minutes.

Heat 2 tablespoons of salted butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once melted, add the shrimp in a single layer.

Cook for 2-3 minutes, flip, and continue cooking for another 2-3 minutes, or until the shrimp are no longer translucent and their tails begin to curl. Remove from skillet and serve immediately.

Sprinkle with fresh cilantro and serve with additional lime wedges, if desired.
