02 - 1 cup granulated sugar
03 - 2 large eggs
04 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
05 - 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
06 - 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
07 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
08 - 1/4 teaspoon baking powder

→ Cookie Layer

09 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
10 - 1/2 cup granulated sugar
11 - 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
12 - 1 large egg
13 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
14 - 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
15 - 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
16 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
17 - 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease a 23×33 cm (9×13-inch) baking pan or line with parchment paper. In a medium bowl, whisk together melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth. Sift in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Stir until just combined. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
02 - In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla extract until well incorporated. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture, mixing until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
03 - Drop spoonfuls of cookie dough over the brownie batter. Use a spatula to gently spread the cookie dough layer evenly over the brownie layer. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs and the cookie layer is golden brown. Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.

# Notes:

01 - For clean cuts, refrigerate the cooled brownie cookie bars for 1 hour before slicing.
