# Ingredients:

01 - 1 cup all-purpose flour
02 - 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
03 - 1 teaspoon baking powder
04 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
05 - 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
06 - 1 large egg
07 - 3/4 cup milk
08 - 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

09 - Vegetable oil (for frying)

# Instructions:

01 - In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon (if using). Set aside.
02 - In another bowl, combine the egg, milk, and vanilla extract, whisking until well blended.
03 - Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined. The batter should be thick but pourable. If too thick, add a little more milk.
04 - Heat 2 inches of vegetable oil in a deep frying pan or deep fryer to 175°C.
05 - Once the oil is hot, transfer the batter into a squeeze bottle or a piping bag with the tip cut off for easy application.
06 - Squeeze the batter into the hot oil in long, continuous zigzag patterns to create sticks. Fry until golden brown, about 1-2 minutes per side.
07 - Remove the funnel cake sticks with a slotted spoon and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
08 - While still hot, dust the sticks generously with powdered sugar.
