Crunchy Dorito Taco Salad (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 1 bag (285g) Doritos Nacho Cheese flavor
02 - 1 lb (450g) ground beef (or turkey for a lighter option)
03 - 1 packet taco seasoning

→ Vegetables & Legumes

04 - 1 can (425g) black beans, drained and rinsed
05 - 1 cup (175g) corn, canned or frozen
06 - 1 bell pepper, any color, diced
07 - 1 small red onion, diced
08 - 2 cups (100g) romaine lettuce, chopped
09 - 1 cup (150g) cherry tomatoes, halved

→ Toppings & Garnish

10 - 1 cup (100g) shredded cheddar cheese
11 - 1 cup (240ml) salsa
12 - 1 cup (240ml) sour cream or Greek yogurt
13 - Fresh cilantro, for garnish
14 - Lime wedges, for serving

# Instructions:

01 - In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked, breaking it apart with a spoon. Drain excess fat.
02 - Add the taco seasoning to the beef along with 160ml water. Stir and let simmer for about 5 minutes, or until the mixture has thickened.
03 - While the beef is cooking, combine the chopped romaine lettuce, diced bell pepper, diced onion, black beans, corn, and halved cherry tomatoes in a large bowl.
04 - Allow the ground beef to cool slightly before adding it to the salad mixture. Stir until well combined.
05 - Just before serving, crush the Doritos and sprinkle them on top of the salad for texture and flavor.
06 - In a small bowl, mix the salsa and sour cream (or Greek yogurt) to create a creamy dressing. Alternatively, serve them separately as condiments.
07 - Top the salad with shredded cheddar cheese and fresh cilantro. Drizzle with the salsa-sour cream mixture.
08 - Serve immediately with lime wedges on the side for a fresh citrus accent.

# Notes:

01 - For best results, add the Doritos just before serving to maintain their crunch.
02 - This salad can be prepared in advance, but keep the Doritos, cheese, and dressing separate until serving time.
