Easy Smothered Boneless Pork Chops (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 4 boneless pork chops, 2.5 cm thick
02 - Salt, to taste
03 - Black pepper, to taste
04 - 1 tablespoon (15 ml) extra-virgin olive oil

→ Aromatics and Sauce

05 - 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
06 - 2 garlic cloves, minced
07 - 240 ml low-sodium chicken broth
08 - 1 tablespoon (15 ml) Worcestershire sauce
09 - 1 teaspoon dried thyme
10 - 0.5 teaspoon smoked paprika
11 - 1 tablespoon (14 g) unsalted butter
12 - Fresh parsley, finely chopped, for garnish

# Instructions:

01 - Generously season both sides of the pork chops with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
02 - Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Arrange pork chops in the skillet and cook for 4 to 5 minutes on each side until golden and cooked through. Remove pork chops from skillet and set aside.
03 - In the same skillet, add the sliced onions and sauté for 5 minutes until softened. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until aromatic.
04 - Pour in chicken broth and Worcestershire sauce. Deglaze the skillet by scraping up any browned bits from the bottom. Stir in dried thyme and smoked paprika. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.
05 - Return pork chops to the skillet. Spoon some onion-garlic broth over each chop. Lower heat, cover, and simmer for 10 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
06 - Transfer pork chops to a serving dish. Stir butter into the skillet sauce until fully melted and combined. Taste sauce and adjust salt and pepper as needed.
07 - Spoon the luscious onion sauce over the pork chops and garnish generously with chopped fresh parsley. Serve immediately, accompanied by mashed potatoes or steamed vegetables if desired.

# Notes:

01 - For the juiciest pork chops, avoid overcooking and allow them to rest briefly before serving.
