# Ingredients:

01 - 4 slices fresh whole grain bread
02 - 8 oz smoked salmon
03 - 1 ripe avocado
04 - 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

07 - Salt and pepper, to taste
08 - Fresh dill or chives, for garnish
09 - Olive oil, for drizzling

# Instructions:

01 - Toast the whole grain bread slices until golden brown and crispy. Use either a toaster or a skillet for different texture options.
02 - Scoop the ripe avocado into a small bowl and mash with a fork. Add fresh lemon juice to prevent browning and mix until creamy. Season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
03 - If using cream cheese, spread a thin layer on each slice of toasted bread. This adds creaminess that complements the salmon.
04 - Evenly spread the mashed avocado over each toast slice, covering the entire surface.
05 - Arrange 2 oz of smoked salmon neatly on top of the avocado spread on each slice.
06 - Sprinkle capers over the salmon and add fresh dill sprigs or chopped chives for flavor.
07 - Drizzle olive oil over each assembled toast for added richness.
