Crispy Air Fryer Asparagus (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 pound asparagus, ends trimmed
02 - 1 tablespoon olive oil or avocado oil
03 - 1 clove garlic, finely minced (optional)
04 - ½ teaspoon salt
05 - ¼ teaspoon black pepper

# Instructions:

01 - Heat air fryer to 370°F for at least 3 minutes.
02 - Whisk together oil, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper in a large bowl.
03 - Add trimmed asparagus spears to the bowl and stir until well coated in the mixture.
04 - Place asparagus into the air fryer basket in a single layer and cook for 6-9 minutes. Toss the basket halfway through cooking. (Smaller spears require closer to 6 minutes, while larger spears may take up to 9 minutes.)
05 - Sprinkle additional black pepper and salt to taste before serving. Enjoy!

# Notes:

01 - Trim asparagus by cutting at the junction where the white/brown parts turn darker green or use the snap method by bending and breaking at the woody part.
02 - Thinner asparagus spears will cook faster than thicker spears.
03 - Adjust cooking times based on air fryer size, increasing time for smaller 4-5 quart air fryers and decreasing for larger ones.
