Air Fryer Broccoli Quick Side (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 pound broccoli florets, about 4-5 cups
02 - 2 tablespoons avocado or olive oil
03 - 1 clove garlic, crushed
04 - ½ teaspoon salt, to taste
05 - ¼ teaspoon black pepper
06 - ½ teaspoon lemon zest, optional
07 - ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese, divided, optional

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat your air fryer to 375°F for at least 3 minutes.
02 - Whisk together oil, garlic, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Add broccoli florets and stir until well coated. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of Parmesan cheese and toss to coat.
03 - Add coated broccoli to the heated air fryer and cook for 4-5 minutes. Shake the basket halfway through cooking.
04 - For extra crispy edges, turn up the heat to 390°F, toss the basket, and cook for an additional minute.
05 - Serve the broccoli with freshly grated lemon zest and the remaining Parmesan cheese.

# Notes:

01 - Let the broccoli cool completely before storing to prevent it from getting soggy. Once cooled, place it in an airtight container and store it in the fridge for up to 3 days.
02 - For best results when reheating, air fry at 350°F for 2-3 minutes to bring back the crispiness.
03 - Cut florets evenly so they cook at the same rate.
04 - Ensure broccoli is completely dry to avoid steaming instead of crisping.
05 - Shaking the air fryer basket helps cook broccoli evenly and achieve a golden-brown texture.
06 - Increase the air fryer temperature to 390°F for an extra crispy finish.
