Cheesy Brussels Sprouts Gratin (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Vegetables and Base

01 - Brussels sprouts, cleaned and halved (16 ounces)
02 - Butter (2 tablespoons)
03 - Fresh garlic, minced (3 cloves)
04 - Heavy cream (½ cup)

→ Seasonings

05 - Kosher salt (½ teaspoon)
06 - Black pepper (¼ teaspoon)
07 - Garlic powder (¼ teaspoon)
08 - Ground nutmeg (⅛ teaspoon)

→ Cheese Blend

09 - Parmesan cheese, freshly shredded (½ cup)
10 - Cheddar cheese, freshly shredded (1 cup)
11 - Fontina cheese, freshly shredded (1 cup)

# Instructions:

01 - Position rack in center of oven and preheat to 375°F.
02 - Clean and halve Brussels sprouts. Shred all three cheeses and combine in a bowl, set aside.
03 - In an oven-safe pan over medium heat, melt butter with minced garlic until garlic softens and begins to simmer, being careful not to brown it. Remove from heat and stir in heavy cream, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and nutmeg. Mix in half of the shredded cheese blend.
04 - Add Brussels sprouts to the pan, coat with cream sauce, and arrange in a single layer. Top with remaining cheese blend. Bake for 18-25 minutes until cheese melts and sprouts are tender.
