Mozzarella Bites (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 12 mozzarella string cheese sticks.
02 - 1 cup all-purpose flour (125g).
03 - 2 large eggs.
04 - 1½ cups seasoned breadcrumbs (150g).
05 - 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese (100g).
06 - 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning.
07 - ½ teaspoon garlic powder.
08 - ¼ teaspoon salt.
09 - Vegetable oil for frying (or cooking spray if baking).

# Instructions:

01 - Cut each string cheese into three pieces. Put them in freezer for 30 minutes to firm up.
02 - Put flour in one bowl. Beat eggs in second bowl. Mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, garlic powder and salt in third bowl.
03 - Roll each frozen cheese piece in flour, then egg, then breadcrumb mix. For extra crunch, dip in egg and breadcrumbs again.
04 - Place coated bites on a baking sheet and freeze 15-20 minutes so they won't melt while cooking.
05 - Heat oil to 350°F in a deep pan. Fry bites for 1-2 minutes until golden. Drain on paper towels.
06 - Heat oven to 400°F. Put bites on lined baking sheet, spray with cooking spray. Bake 8-10 minutes until golden.

# Notes:

01 - Can be made ahead and frozen.
02 - Double coating creates extra crunch.
03 - Best served hot with dipping sauce.
