Cheesy Sausage Pasta Skillet (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 tablespoon olive oil.
02 - 1 pound turkey sausage, cut into rounds.
03 - 1 medium onion, chopped.
04 - 2-3 garlic cloves, finely chopped.
05 - 2 cups chicken broth.
06 - 1 can (10 oz) diced tomatoes with juices.
07 - 1/2 cup cream or milk.
08 - 8 ounces short pasta (rotini or penne).
09 - Salt and black pepper to season.
10 - 1 cup mixed cheddar and jack cheese.
11 - 1/3 cup green onions, sliced thin.

# Instructions:

01 - Heat oil in a large pan over medium-high. Cook sausage and onions until they turn golden, about 5 minutes. Toss in garlic and cook until fragrant.
02 - Pour in broth, tomatoes, milk, pasta, salt and pepper. Once bubbling, cover and turn heat low. Cook 15 minutes until pasta is tender.
03 - Mix in half the cheese, then sprinkle the rest on top. Cover for 5 minutes until melted, or broil briefly. Finish with green onions.

# Notes:

01 - Spoon out extra liquid before adding cheese if needed.
02 - Keeps in fridge for 4-5 days.
03 - Not ideal for freezing due to cream sauce.
