Christmas Crack Cookies (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - Saltine crackers (24).
02 - Unsalted butter (1/2 cup for crack + 1 cup for cookies).
03 - Brown sugar (1/2 cup for crack + 1 1/4 cups for cookies).
04 - Semi-sweet chocolate chips (1-1 1/4 cups for crack + 1/2 cup for cookies).
05 - Festive toppings (sprinkles, M&Ms, candy canes).
06 - Granulated sugar (1/3 cup).
07 - Egg (1 whole + 2 yolks).
08 - Vanilla extract (1 tablespoon).
09 - Flour (2 1/4 cups).
10 - Baking powder (1 teaspoon).
11 - Salt (1/2 teaspoon).
12 - Cornstarch (1/2 teaspoon, optional).

# Instructions:

01 - Arrange crackers on lined pan. Make toffee with butter and brown sugar, pour over crackers. Bake at 400°F for 3-4 minutes. Add chocolate chips, spread when melted. Add toppings and chill until firm.
02 - Cook butter until golden brown and nutty. Let cool slightly.
03 - Mix browned butter with sugars. Add eggs and vanilla. Combine dry ingredients separately, then mix in. Fold in chocolate chips and chopped Christmas crack.
04 - Refrigerate dough at least 30 minutes or up to 24 hours.
05 - Scoop dough onto lined sheets. Bake at 350°F for 10-12 minutes until edges golden but centers soft.

# Notes:

01 - Must line pan for Christmas crack to prevent sticking.
02 - Save 1 1/2 cups Christmas crack for cookies.
03 - Don't rush browning the butter.
