Cinnamon Apple Fritters Vanilla Glaze (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ For the fritters

01 - 2 cups all-purpose flour
02 - ¼ cup sugar
03 - 1 tbsp baking powder
04 - ½ tsp salt
05 - 2 tsp cinnamon
06 - ½ cup milk
07 - 2 large eggs
08 - 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
09 - 2 medium apples, peeled, cored, diced
10 - Vegetable oil, for frying

→ For the vanilla glaze

11 - 1 cup powdered sugar
12 - 2–3 tbsp milk
13 - 1 tsp vanilla extract

# Instructions:

01 - In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. In a separate bowl, whisk milk, eggs, and vanilla. Combine wet and dry ingredients, stirring gently until just incorporated. Fold in the diced apples.
02 - Pour 5–7 cm of vegetable oil into a deep skillet and heat to 175°C (350°F).
03 - Drop heaping tablespoons of batter into the hot oil. Fry for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown. Transfer to paper towels to drain excess oil.
04 - In a bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Adjust consistency by adding more milk or sugar as needed.
05 - Either drizzle the glaze over warm fritters or dip them for a complete coating. Allow to set for a few minutes before serving.

# Notes:

01 - Best enjoyed warm.
02 - Store in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
03 - Reheat in oven at 150°C (300°F) to restore crispiness.
