Easy Crispy Salmon Croquettes Recipe (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 15 ounces salmon flakes (or 3 5-oz cans salmon, drained and flaked)

→ Dry Ingredients

02 - 1/2 cup Panko breadcrumbs
03 - 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
04 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
05 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
06 - 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

→ Wet Ingredients

07 - 1/2 green bell pepper, cubed
08 - 1/2 red bell pepper, cubed
09 - 1 egg, lightly beaten
10 - 1/4 cup mayonnaise
11 - 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
12 - 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped
13 - 1 tablespoon olive oil

# Instructions:

01 - If using fresh salmon, cook and flake it into chunks. For canned salmon, drain well and remove any skin or bones, then flake it with a fork, keeping it chunky.
02 - Whisk together your breadcrumbs, flour, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a large bowl until well combined.
03 - In another bowl, mix your flaked salmon, bell peppers, beaten egg, mayo, Worcestershire sauce, and cilantro until everything's well combined.
04 - Gently fold the wet ingredients into the dry mix until just combined. If it feels too wet, add more breadcrumbs a bit at a time. For best results, chill the mixture for 15-20 minutes.
05 - With damp hands, form the mixture into patties. Either fry in hot oil for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown, or bake at 400°F for 10-12 minutes per side.
06 - Let the croquettes drain on paper towels if fried. Serve while hot with your favorite sauce like tartar sauce or lemon aioli.

# Notes:

01 - Can be fried or baked for a healthier option
02 - Mixture can be made ahead and chilled
03 - Works with both fresh and canned salmon
