Homemade Cranberry Sauce (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 4 cups (12-ounce package) fresh or frozen cranberries.
02 - ½ cup honey or maple syrup.
03 - ½ cup orange juice.
04 - ½ cup water.
05 - Orange zest (optional).

# Instructions:

01 - Combine water, orange juice, and honey in saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring to boil.
02 - Add cranberries and stir. Return to boil, then reduce to simmer.
03 - Cook 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cranberries burst and sauce thickens.
04 - Turn off heat, cool for 15 minutes. Transfer to container and refrigerate to thicken further.

# Notes:

01 - Can be made night before serving.
02 - Adjust sweetness to taste.
03 - Orange juice can be reduced or omitted.
