Homemade Sourdough Croutons (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base Ingredients

01 - Soft Sourdough Bread, 2 pounds
02 - Extra virgin olive oil, ⅔ cup

→ Seasonings

03 - Onion powder, ¾ teaspoon
04 - Garlic powder, ¾ teaspoon
05 - Salt, ¾ teaspoon

→ Optional Seasonings

06 - Dried thyme, 1 teaspoon
07 - Dried rosemary, 1 teaspoon
08 - Smoked paprika, ½-1 teaspoon
09 - Black pepper, ½ teaspoon
10 - Cayenne pepper, ¼ teaspoon
11 - Dried parsley, 2 teaspoons
12 - Italian seasoning, 1 teaspoon
13 - Freshly grated Parmigiano Reggiano, 2 tablespoons

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 375°F.
02 - Cut sourdough bread into uniform bite-sized cubes. For freshly baked bread, freeze slices for 15-20 minutes first for cleaner cuts.
03 - Whisk together olive oil and seasonings in a large bowl. Add bread cubes and toss until evenly coated.
04 - Spread seasoned bread cubes in a single layer on two parchment-lined baking sheets.
05 - Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and crispy, stirring halfway through for even browning.
06 - Let croutons cool completely on baking sheets before using or storing in an airtight container.
