Honey Roasted Broccoli with Garlic (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 ½ - 2 pounds broccoli (about 2 large heads), cut into florets
02 - 2 tablespoons melted butter
03 - 1 tablespoon avocado or olive oil
04 - 1 tablespoon soy sauce or Tamari
05 - 1 tablespoon honey or pure maple syrup
06 - 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
07 - 1 teaspoon salt, to taste
08 - ¼ teaspoon black pepper, to taste

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
02 - Trim and remove stems from the heads of broccoli, then cut into smaller florets, approximately 1-2 inches in size for consistent cooking.
03 - In a medium-sized bowl, combine melted butter, oil, soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Whisk until smooth and well incorporated.
04 - Add the broccoli florets to the bowl with the seasoning mixture and toss until they're thoroughly coated.
05 - Line a large sheet pan with parchment paper. Arrange the broccoli in a single layer and bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes, or until fork-tender with slightly charred edges.
06 - Remove from oven and serve immediately while hot and crispy.

# Notes:

01 - Cut florets into similar-sized pieces to ensure even cooking.
02 - The high cooking temperature is crucial for achieving a crispy exterior.
03 - Broccoli can be chopped into florets ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator.
04 - Leftover broccoli can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.
05 - For freezing, flash freeze the broccoli on a tray in a single layer before transferring to a freezer-safe container. Will keep for 6-9 months.
06 - Reheat in the oven for best texture or microwave if needed.
