No-Chill Cookies (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - Unsalted butter (1 cup/226g).
02 - Granulated sugar (1 cup/200g).
03 - Vanilla extract (1 teaspoon).
04 - Almond extract (1/4 teaspoon, optional).
05 - Large egg (1).
06 - All-purpose flour (2 3/4 cups/345g).
07 - Cornstarch (2 tablespoons).
08 - Baking powder (1/4 teaspoon).
09 - Salt (1/2 teaspoon).
10 - Additional flour for rolling.
11 - Sugar cookie icing or sanding sugar for decorating.

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F. Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - Beat butter and sugar until creamy. Add egg, vanilla, and almond extract until combined.
03 - Whisk together flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and salt.
04 - Gradually add flour mixture to butter mixture in 4-5 parts, mixing completely between additions.
05 - Roll dough 1/4-inch thick on floured surface. Cut shapes and transfer to baking sheet.
06 - Bake 8-10 minutes until edges are very light golden brown. Cool on sheet 5-10 minutes before transferring.

# Notes:

01 - Butter should be slightly cool (65°F).
02 - Add flour gradually to prevent dry dough.
03 - Stores up to two weeks at room temperature.
