Strawberry Kiss Cookies (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Cookie Dough

01 - 1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, softened
02 - 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
03 - 1 large egg, room temperature
04 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
05 - 1/2 teaspoon almond extract (optional)
06 - 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
07 - 1 teaspoon baking powder
08 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
09 - 1 package (3 oz) strawberry-flavored gelatin mix

→ Topping

10 - 24-30 chocolate kiss candies, unwrapped
11 - 1/4 cup powdered sugar, for dusting

# Instructions:

01 - Beat butter and sugar until fluffy. Add egg and extracts. Mix in strawberry gelatin. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt separately, then gradually mix into wet ingredients.
02 - Roll tablespoons of dough into balls. Place on lined baking sheet 2 inches apart. Make indentation in center of each cookie.
03 - Bake at 350°F for 10-12 minutes until edges are set. Cool briefly on sheet.
04 - Press chocolate kiss into center of warm cookies. Cool completely on wire rack, then dust with powdered sugar.
