# Ingredients:

05 - Sharp cheddar cheese, freshly shredded (½ cup, plus extra for topping)
06 - Fresh jalapeños, minced (¼ cup)
07 - Thin jalapeño slices for topping (20-24 slices)
08 - Garlic powder (⅛ teaspoon)
09 - Large egg, lightly beaten (for brushing)

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven rack in the center position and preheat to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
02 - In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and garlic powder. Stir in the minced jalapeños and shredded cheddar cheese until evenly distributed.
03 - Add Greek yogurt to your dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms. Use your hands if needed for better incorporation. Adjust consistency with small amounts of water if too dry, or flour if too wet, depending on humidity.
04 - Turn dough onto a clean surface and divide into 8 equal portions. Roll each portion into a smooth ball. Create the bagel shape by pushing your thumb through the center and gently stretching the dough in a circular motion. Place shaped bagels on your prepared baking sheet and let rest 5-10 minutes.
