Turkey Breakfast Sausage Patties (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main ingredients

01 - 1 lb ground turkey (85% lean)
02 - 2 tablespoons maple syrup
03 - 1 teaspoon red wine vinegar
04 - 1 teaspoon sea salt
05 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
06 - 1 teaspoon ground sage
07 - ½ teaspoon black pepper
08 - ¼ teaspoon dried thyme
09 - ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

→ Cooking oil

10 - 1 tablespoon olive oil (optional, for frying)

# Instructions:

01 - Combine the ground turkey, maple syrup, vinegar, sea salt, herbs, and spices in a large mixing bowl. Use a rubber spatula to mix until evenly combined.
02 - Divide the turkey mixture into 8 equal portions (about 2 ounces each). Form each into a ball, then flatten to approximately a 3-inch diameter and ½-inch thickness. Ensure uniform size for even cooking.
03 - Heat ½ tablespoon of olive oil in a medium skillet over medium heat. Once hot, cook several patties in the pan without overcrowding. Brown one side for 4–5 minutes before flipping.
04 - Flip the patties and cook an additional 4–5 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F. Remove from pan and repeat with remaining patties, adding ½ tablespoon of olive oil as needed.

# Notes:

01 - Reduce the heat slightly as needed during cooking to prevent burning due to the maple syrup.
